What You'll Be Doing
* Producing financial summaries at month end for MBRs for distinct business areas within Defence; messaging key themes and issues in commentary
* Contributing to the completion of two-month end reporting packs for review with Digital Intelligence's Head of FP&A and other senior stakeholders
* Co-ordinating monthly Risk and Opps updates, challenging assumptions, and supporting consolidation into a Defence-level schedule
* Supporting the IBP process for Defence including preparation of templates/workbooks, data consolidation and structure, assisting with inputs into reporting tools, contributing to FP&A reporting packs and slide decks for the Defence LT
* Supporting the QBR process for Defence by providing analysis, challenging Project Accounting and Business Partners on their assumptions, drawing out key themes and messaging
* Updating/improving submission templates for Defence subsidiaries to complete for QBR/IBP updates; liaising with key stakeholders in these businesses to understand key messaging and variances
* Updating financial reporting slides for subsidiary quarterly board meetings
* Responding to data requests from the UK Rates Capability Centre to support SSRO submissions and negotiations
* Reviewing and challenging Defence BU Overhead spend forecasts
Essential
Your skills and experiences:
* Part Qualified as a min
* Strong financial Background in a large complex environment
* Stakeholder management
* A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) with strong post qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance
* Advanced analytical and modelling skills
* Strong understanding of revenue recognition in operational environments
* Confident communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills

The Team
As a Business Performance Analyst you will be supporting Senior Finance Manager for Defence Business Performance, primarily focussed on producing reporting templates, slides and packs, supporting ad-hoc reporting requests, improving quality of data for QBR/IBP submissions, building automation into current processes and general improvement activity.
Digital Intelligence's Defence business unit operates across several networks and ERP systems, including distinct sub-areas and subsidiaries, which causes complexities in financial consolidation and reporting. This role will be integral to implementing process improvements that will ultimately drive a better understanding of the business unit and its financial performance.
