Overview
Are you an experienced research nurse looking to make a real impact in oncology? Join our prostate research team at the West Wing Clinical Research Centre as a Band 6 Research Nurse. You will lead patient care across an expanding portfolio of clinical trials, from study set-up to treatment delivery and follow‑up. Key Responsibilities
* Lead bedside care of patients participating in oncology clinical trials.
* Recruit, educate and monitor patients entering clinical trials.
* Ensure accurate and comprehensive record keeping for research data.
* Support patients by providing advice, information and acting as advocates.
* Work closely with the principal investigator, multidisciplinary team and senior research nurse or Study Site Coordinators to run trials.
* Liaise with pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions during trial development.
* Contribute to the development of trial design and incorporate patient and nurse perspectives.
* Maintain compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and protect patient well‑being.
Key Qualifications
* Experienced NHS research nurse, preferably with oncology background.
* Knowledge of clinical trial processes, ICH GCP and ethical safeguarding.
* Strong communication skills to educate and support trial participants.
* Organisational, documentation and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
Work within the West Wing Clinical Research Centre under the supervision of senior research staff, in a team that values flexibility and professional development.
