About The Role: Days of Working: Monday - Friday, 0800 - 1630 We are seeking an experienced and proactive Soft Services Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality facilities services across a busy and dynamic healthcare environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all soft services operate seamlessly, safely and in full compliance with contractual, statutory and operational standards. Working closely with internal teams, contractors and service partners, you will drive service excellence, maintain strong performance measures and continuously improve the experience of patients, staff and visitors across the site. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Oversee the delivery of cleaning, portering, pest control, materials handling, patient catering, and window cleaning at a consistently elevated level that meets the PFI contractual requirements. Actively manage contractors and suppliers to ensure that they perform at the required level as part of an integrated service delivery. Identify, mitigate and control risks by taking a risk-based approach to the management of Service Parameters and contracted operational compliance, identifying control measures and PFI monitoring required actions. Identify areas of non-compliance or elevated risk of failure, planning and monitoring remedial actions within agreed timeframes and to agreed action plans. Actively manage service monitoring by owning the performance parameter monitoring process, plan and monitor corrective actions as required, working to minimise deduction risk. Ensure high standards of service delivery through effective staff management and training programs. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders through effective communication, regular updates, and responsive support. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Must have Right to Work in the UK. An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate. Educated to degree standard. IOSH qualified. Membership of applicable professional organisation e.g. IWFM, BICSc. Proven track record of direct management of Soft Services operations ideally within a PFI environment. Experience of P&L operational accountability. Excellent PC skills with full Microsoft office knowledge.
