Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on various projects, including fabrication and assembly of structures, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Joiner will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional craftsmanship while collaborating with other tradespeople on-site.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including frames, doors, and windows.
* Use hand tools and power tools to complete joinery tasks efficiently.
* Perform painting and finishing work to ensure a polished appearance.
* Work on roofing projects as required, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
* Plumb installations accurately to meet design specifications.
* Conduct heavy lifting of materials as necessary during the construction process.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Skills
* Proficient in joinery techniques with a strong understanding of woodworking principles.
* Experience using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
* Knowledge of electrical installations is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
