Secondary Art & Design Technology Teacher (Cover Contract)

Here at Aspire People, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team at a secondary school in Corby, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher, ECT, or unqualified teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across both subjects, inspiring students to develop their artistic and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Art and Design Technology to students across Key Stage 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience).
* Foster a love for creativity, design, and craftsmanship while helping students explore their artistic and practical potential.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
* Assess, monitor, and support students' progress through regular feedback and evaluations.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and a cohesive approach to both subjects.
* Contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as art exhibitions, design projects, and school events.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified or unqualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in both Art and Design Technology.
* Passionate about teaching creative subjects and nurturing students' artistic and design skills.
* Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4; experience at Key Stage 5 is desirable.
* Ability to inspire students, with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Creative, adaptable, and able to bring innovative ideas to the classroom.
* A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and a commitment to students' well-being and academic growth.
* A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
