Our client is a well-established and reputable civil engineering contractor, specialising in refurbishment and strengthening works across roads, bridges, rail, and wider infrastructure projects.
The Role
As an Estimator / Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive cost estimates across a range of civil engineering projects. The role requires strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects
* Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
* Source, assess, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
* Review and update estimates as scope and project requirements evolve
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
