Role overview
At Virgin Atlantic, we are dedicated to ensuring our compensation processes are seamless and effective. We seek a dedicated leader to join our Reward and Wellbeing team as the Senior Manager – Compensation. This role involves delivering annual compensation processes and leading a team of Compensation Managers and Analysts.
You will ensure the flawless delivery of companywide compensation processes, collaborating with the People team and stakeholders to develop and execute compensation plans and reward activities. Reporting to the VP Reward and Wellbeing, you will work closely with senior leaders, trade unions, and external partners.
Key responsibilities
1. Plan and manage cyclical and global compensation programs, including variable pay cycles and pay reviews.
2. Manage budgets and contribute to year-end accounting processes.
3. Define frameworks aligned with VX30 and People Plan.
4. Evaluate and improve current plan and process designs.
5. Partner with the business to design and recommend pay structures.
6. Support union negotiations, including modeling and presentations.
7. Oversee delivery of BAU compensation processes.
8. Implement new compensation programs and policies.
9. Lead and develop Reward Managers and Reward Analysts.
10. Drive continuous improvement and stay updated on external trends and insights.
Candidate profile
* Proven leadership in complex, global organizations.
* Focus on delivery and compliance.
* CIPD qualification or equivalent HR grounding.
* Experience in leading teams.
* Strong business acumen, analytical, and modeling skills.
* Experience with change programs and executive pay.
* Attention to detail, proficient in Excel, PowerBI, and related tools.
