We have an exciting opportunity for a Master Scheduler to join our team in Cheltenham.

This position, within the Planning & Scheduling department, reports directly to the Director of Planning & Governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for all supply forecasting activities and for providing the business plan for the next 3-36 months to all functions.
The role serves as the long-term supply integration point with the Planning Director, Planning, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Commercial, and Project/Program management teams. The Master Scheduler will lead monthly discussions to agree on the business plan and coordinate with Production Managers to ensure successful execution of the supply plan.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for strategic planning in operations.
2. Lead S&OP supply planning, scenario planning, and capacity planning.
3. Conduct capacity and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
4. Manage and report on Master Schedules.
5. Develop effective supply plans for bids, considering existing commitments.
6. Contribute to operational financial forecasts and analyze them.
7. Oversee customer order reviews and demand activities.
8. Ensure smooth NPI transitions into production, minimizing disruptions.
9. Develop inventory strategies, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
10. Oversee supply planning for new and existing products.
11. Manage ERP settings related to planning.
12. Handle MRP, CRP outside the execution window, and product lifecycle development.
13. Establish and monitor lead/lag measures and objectives.
14. Report manufacturing performance against bid models and costs.
15. Manage planning risk register with production managers.
16. Define scheduling standards and support audits.
17. Investigate delays and root causes.
18. Create forecasts based on sales history and trends.
19. Utilize business intelligence from sales, marketing, and customer data.
20. Perform forecast modeling, scenario planning, and stock policy reviews.
21. Develop and maintain forecasts for all products using statistical tools.
22. Collaborate to incorporate market and customer insights into forecasts.
23. Maintain forecast accuracy and analyze discrepancies.
24. Create weekly/monthly sales vs. forecast reports.
25. Update stakeholders on overselling and underselling issues.
26. Support stock level reviews and demand/supply modeling.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential:
* Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office tools.
* Experience in forecasting methods and their impacts.
* Knowledge of S&OP and demand planning processes.
* Effective communication skills at all levels, including senior management.
* Understanding of business functions and opportunities.
Desirable:
* Certifications such as Oliver Wight S&OP or APICS.
* Experience with IFS ERP system.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and challenge existing practices.
* Understanding of commercial drivers and P&L impacts.
* Data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Candidates must be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.
