Job Description:
As a Test Development Engineer, you will play an important role in our innovative Test Development team, working on avionics and land-based armoured vehicle communication systems. Your responsibilities will include providing test solutions for highly technical electronic circuits and units, developing test strategies, and ensuring our products meet quality and safety standards within aircraft systems. You will also be involved in technical investigations, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of electronic hardware, especially processors and FPGAs.
Working alongside top engineers, your hardware and software knowledge will continually expand, offering opportunities for growth and advancement.
As a senior engineer, you will lead test strategy development and implementation, produce detailed recommendations, and participate in project planning using Microsoft Office tools. You will present test strategies to senior management, make decisions, and engage in technical discussions. You should be a team player and capable of working independently. There are opportunities to become an Engineering Team Lead with direct reports and additional responsibilities as your role develops.
Qualifications
To succeed, you should have:
* Comprehensive knowledge of electronic hardware
* Advanced test-related expertise
* Experience with LabView and TestStand (preferred)
* Ability to perform complex technical investigations
* Experience developing, analyzing, and improving test strategies
* Some knowledge of Linux OS
* Leadership skills
* Decision-making capabilities and initiative
* Strong problem-solving and report-writing skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks
* Minimum HNC level education or equivalent with relevant experience

This role offers a salary between £45,600 and £57,000 plus flexible benefits, including:
