Position: Financial Assistant
Location: DHL CBS office Staines - Office based
Standard Operating hours: M-F 9:00am – 5:30pm (may require some work outside these hours and on BH for month-end processing), so flexibility is needed.

About the role:
The Financial Assistant will manage the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments are processed accurately and timely. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and collaboration across departments.
* Maintain vendor master data and onboarding processes.
* Build and sustain positive vendor relationships, responding promptly and accurately to inquiries about invoices and payments.
* Administer and maintain the PtP workflow using Basware software.
* Update vendor information and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Prepare and execute vendor payments, ensuring timely disbursement.
* Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable and expenses.
* Oversee employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
* Support the wider Finance team with tasks such as month-end closing and internal controls.
* Assist audits by providing documentation and explanations regarding accounts payable.
* Implement process improvements as necessary.
* Participate actively in the project to migrate the current finance ERP to S4/HANA, focusing on accounts payable.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Over 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial functions.
* Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and data summarization.
* Good knowledge of SAP.
