About The Role
Purpose of role
To complete production of financial results for Security Contracts on a monthly basis. Assisting the Finance business partners to complete month end P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, ensure billing is processed correctly and support with queries.
Main Duties
* Balance sheet reconciliation
* Assist with P&L production and analysis
* Posting of Month end journals and system Imports
* Preparing customer returns
* Assisting members of the business partnering team in month end result production
* Processing of accruals and prepayments as informed by operational teams in line with financial process and principles
* Building relationships with other finance team members
* Support sales ledger team Assisting with income allocation and billing details when required
* Assisting with audit queries and ensuring accurate working papers to support postings made

* Planning and diary management skills
* Clear communication skills (use of email and calls)
* Analytical skills to investigate variances and cost trends
* Strong excel skills including the use of formula and pivot tables using multi system source data tables.
* Strong demonstrable understanding of balance sheet reconciliations
Candidate Specification
Qualification in accounting:
Minimum AAT level 3 or sufficient QBE demonstrated through previous positions held with intention to study further
Relevant Experience In Accounts
Previously experience within an Assistant management accountant role.
To have previous experience of the Security or FM services dealing with a high volume of contracts.
Time Management Skills
Ability to plan and prioritise workload using appropriate tools.
Highly Analytical
To be able to demonstrate an understanding of analysing account reconciliations.
Shows initiative to correct errors found from analysis.
Strong IT Skills
Demonstrate skills in using excel and understating of more advanced use through knowledge of formulas and use of pivot tables.
Advanced Excel course completion.
Flexible Working
Understands accounting timetables and planning of hours required for month end
