Join Our Team as a One to One L3 Teaching Assistant!

Our mission is to nurture the whole person, helping them achieve their transitional milestones in a trauma-informed environment.
About the Role
We are excited to invite a dedicated One to One Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team! This full-time position runs from Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, during term time only. While primarily based at our main site, you may also support students at local PE venues and, eventually, in college settings.
Your Responsibilities
As a vital member of our team, you will:
* Collaborate with the Headteacher and class teachers to align with our therapeutic approach.
* Support pupils in learning effectively, both individually and in groups by:
o Clarifying and explaining instructions.
o Ensuring access to necessary equipment and materials.
o Motivating and encouraging pupils through personalized attention and support.
o Assisting in areas such as speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, and handwriting.
o Using praise and constructive feedback to keep pupils focused and engaged.
* Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals regarding Individual Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
* Provide additional nurture and support as requested.
* Implement agreed behavior management strategies consistently.
* Build supportive relationships with pupils to foster inclusion and interaction.
* Monitor and adapt learning activities to meet the needs of each pupil.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A minimum qualification of GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English.
* A Level 3 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by students with Emotional, Behavioural, or Social needs.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.

Desirable: Experience in a specialist educational environment.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, term-time only position with a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will be working in a supportive and engaging environment in Horsham, West Sussex.
