A well-regarded, large all-through school in Durham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join its successful secondary phase from September 2025. An earlier start date may be possible by negotiation. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive and ambitious team focused on high achievement and student progress.

The Role
The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the option of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The post requires someone with genuine passion for their subject and the ability to inspire and engage students. There will be opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and take part in enrichment activities that support the wider school community.
Requirements
A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 and KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
Proven ability to secure good or better outcomes for students
Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
A reflective and proactive approach to continuous professional development
