The Natural Capital Specialist will support product development, skills development in sustainability, and develop partnerships with industry experts. The role requires working with geo-spatial tools such as maps and mapping tools.
This position demands strong interpersonal communication skills, a friendly attitude, and a keen awareness of agriculture and environmental topics.
Role Responsibilities
1. Manage customer farm maps to identify natural capital assets and enable soil organic carbon assessments, data collection, and reporting.
2. Identify and develop opportunities within the agricultural value chain to manage Oxbury’s Scope 3 emissions, including collecting carbon footprints from customers and automating data for emissions calculations.
3. Support the Product Team with research and industry information to develop natural-capital aligned products for farmers and maintain existing products.
4. Assist the Credit and Risk teams with research to support credit and risk considerations based on industry and product context.
5. Create marketing materials such as website content, brochures, and newsletters to support Oxbury's brand and farmers.
6. Oversee ongoing data collection to complete the annual operational carbon footprint.
7. Develop training materials on climate, biodiversity, and ESG topics for Bank employees.
8. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Proven experience with geospatial tools and analysis.
10. Research experience in agriculture, climate, or nature risk.
11. Background in agriculture.
12. Degree qualification.
13. High integrity, hardworking, willing to learn, flexible, and able to work independently.
