My client is a design and manufacturing company within the structural steel sector. They currently have a requirement for an experienced and proven Steel Detailer to join their team.
They work on a wide range of projects and can accommodate all aspects of the project in-house from concept to site installation.
Key Responsibilities include:
Create and develop 3D structural models in Tekla Structures/StruCAD.
Liaise with contract design teams, fabricators, and steel installers.
Produce and issue general arrangement drawings and RFI sheets to progress the steelwork project.
Produce and detail fabrication/shop drawings and site installation drawings.
Issue supporting CAM/NC data to fabrication in accordance with internal procedures.
Generate accurate material lists & bolt schedules.
Provide supporting details during the fabrication and erection process if required.
Required Experience:
Thorough knowledge of hot-rolled steel and architectural steelwork (UK based experience required).
Tekla Structures or StruCAD.
Good comprehension on steel fabrication and installation requirements for steel detailing.
Ability to read and interpret Architects and Structural Engineers drawings.
Good working experience with Microsoft Office.
