A school in south Sheffield is looking for a Finance Officer to start ASAP.
This is a temp-perm role and will be school office-based 37 hours per week.

Your new role
1. Provide administrative and financial support particularly dealing with banking of cash, procurement of goods and services and reconciliation; this will include lunches, sales ledger processing and payment of expenses.
2. Monitor and oversee the purchase ledger and the processing of sales invoices.
3. Deal with telephone and face-to-face enquiries from students, parents, staff, and contractors adhering to confidentiality procedures and data protection policies. Being able to deal with delicate situations, tactfully and diplomatically.
4. Liaise with students and staff at all levels in relation to administrative and finance related tasks.
5. Monitor and oversee the administration of school trips; ensuring the trip is appropriately approved with financial costings,posing and issuing trip letters, maintaining theputerised trip software packages, recording payments, issuing receipts, banking ie, processing payments, ensuring indemnity forms arepleted and issuing trip financial statements.
6. Monitor and organise payments for vulnerable students and payments for trips, stationery, uniform and other educational needs.
7. Deputise for Administration and Office Manager - in the absence of the administration and office manager oversee administrative functions including reception.
What you'll need to succeed :
8. Experience of working in a finance role.
9. Experience of handling cash, bookkeeping and/or accounting.
10. Experience of using financial management systems.
11. Experience in effectively interpreting, analysing and presenting data and excellent ICT skills
