Regional EHS Manager- Hertfordshire

Our client is an established contractor operating within the Utilities sector nationwide, due to continued expansion and full order book for 24/25 within the Gas and Water divisions, we are actively seeking a proactive & experienced Regional EHS Manager to be working on projects based in Hertfordshire. As a Regional EHS Manager you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Establish, implement and manage comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and company policies.

Knowledgeable in updated EHS issues, trends and develop strategies to address them proactively.
*
Observe & evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs through audits, inspections and performance metrics.
*
Lead and support EHS workers ensuring that EHS initiatives are effectively shared and implemented in the organization.
*
Implement measures to prevent incidents, including risk assessments and job safety analysis.
*
Oversee & record investigations of accidents and incidents and analyze causes and implement preventive measures.
*
Thorough knowledge of relevant environmental health & safety legislation.
*
Develop exact EHS records, documentation and reports ready for submission.
*
Give guidance and support to site EHS coordinators and team up with project managers and site supervisors to enforce safety culture.
*
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
*
7+ years' experience in the Utilities/Gas sector is essential.
*
Full NEBOSH qualification is desirable.
*
Proven track record in EHS Management role.
*
Experience in Utilities/Excavation/ Reinstatement contracts is beneficial.
*
Willingness to travel in North London & East Counties.
*
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
