We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed General Science Teacher to join a secondary school for a maternity cover position on a 3-day week basis starting in November 2025 and running until the end of the academic year. Duties as a General Science Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging General Science lessons to a high standard. Teach across KS3–KS4, ensuring lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of all learners. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting high expectations. Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and teaching resources. Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, safeguarding, and academic achievement. Support extracurricular science activities, clubs, or trips where appropriate. Ideal General Science Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in a science-related subject. Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher. Ability to inspire, motivate and engage students of all abilities.
