The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turning Setter Operator to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to exact specifications.
We are open to candidates across the UK, with relocation considered for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, program, and operate CNC turning machines (including Nakamura and Citizen sliding head lathes)
* Manufacture components in line with production plans and customer deadlines
* Ensure all parts meet engineering drawings and tight tolerances
* Adjust tooling, offsets, and make program edits to optimise performance
* Conduct first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools
* Complete route cards and maintain accurate quality documentation
* Work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficient production flow
* Maintain machine upkeep and a clean, safe working environment
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a CNC Turning Setter / Operator
* Experience with sliding head lathes (Citizen, Nakamura preferred)
* Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
* Strong inspection skills using tools such as micrometers, verniers, and calipers
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
