An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and suitably experienced Team Lead or Health Visitor to apply for the post of Team Leader within the Inverclyde Health Visiting Service. This role sits within a supportive leadership team that promotes a culture of learning, improvement, and development.
The successful candidate will:
Provide leadership, guidance, and quality assurance to Health Visitors and Early Years workers, ensure delivery of the National Health Visiting Universal Pathway to improve outcomes for children and families and work closely with the Senior Nurse to meet both local and national priorities.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse on Part 3 of the NMC Register as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, extensive experience in complex Health Visiting practice, comprehensive knowledge of GIRFEC, the Children & Families (Scotland) Act 2014, and other relevant policies, evidence of recent postgraduate study and possession of, or willingness to, undertake relevant qualifications (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in Child Protection).

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
