Join a leading front‑line services provider as a HGV Technician, maintaining HGV fleets at a well‑equipped workshop in Weston-Super-Mare. Ideal for an apprenticeship‑trained or time-served engineer with strong diagnostics, servicing, and repair experience across commercial vehicles.
The HGV Technician Role
Service, repair, and maintain vehicles to DVSA/manufacturer standards
Diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
Prep vehicles for MOT and complete all service documentation
Respond to breakdowns and support off‑site recovery
Mentor apprentices and promote safe working practices
Carry out preventative maintenance and keep accurate records
What You Need As a Successful HGV Technician
HGV qualifications Parts 1–3 or equivalent
Proven commercial vehicle maintenance experience
Strong electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic knowledge
Able to work independently in a physically demanding role
HGV Class 2 licence desirable
