Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable educators, including both qualified teachers (QTS) and unqualified teachers, to provide flexible supply cover across a range of secondary schools in and around Portsmouth.
We work in partnership with a number of well-regarded, co-educational secondary schools in the local area, many of which have been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. These schools offer supportive and inclusive environments where students are encouraged to achieve their full academic and personal potential. They deliver broad and engaging curricula, with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, progress, and personal development.
Schools in the area benefit from excellent facilities, including modern classrooms, specialist subject areas, and a wide range of sports and creative resources. They promote values such as respect, resilience, and responsibility, and are committed to developing confident, independent learners prepared for life beyond education.
Through Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work across different school settings, gaining valuable experience and building your confidence in the classroom. This role is ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), experienced teachers seeking greater flexibility, or individuals looking to gain experience in secondary education.
As a supply teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure a positive and productive learning environment. You will be expected to follow each school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies, support student engagement, and provide feedback where required.
Teaching Personnel offers flexible working to suit your availability, with both pre-booked assignments and last-minute cover opportunities. You will be paid weekly via PAYE and receive ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
