Customer Service Executive (Fixed Term Contract)

The role involves managing the end-to-end Orders to Cash process within the customer service team, supporting and deputising for the Customer Service Manager, and assisting in training team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving customer orders via EDI or email, applying vetting procedures, and ensuring compliance with trading terms and credit checks.
2. Processing orders, invoices, and related queries using both computerized and manual systems.
3. Responding to customer inquiries regarding availability, delivery, prices, and payments.
4. Coordinating with logistics providers to meet service requirements.
5. Handling service and product complaints to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
6. Communicating stock shortfalls to customers and Sales Managers.
7. Assisting finance in identifying late payments and following up until receipt.
8. Adhering to SOPs and control procedures.
9. Monitoring the order book through daily shipped reports and ensuring timely delivery or appropriate rejection of unavailable lines.
10. Meeting all standard and non-standard service requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in order processing and customer service in a busy, fast-paced environment.
* Experience working in a global company with high transaction volumes and short lead times.
* Proven ability to meet sales targets from order processing to invoicing.
* Stock monitoring and control experience per customer account.
* Fast and accurate data entry skills.
* High accuracy, numeracy, literacy, and strong communication skills.
* Knowledge of computerized order processing and invoicing systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and self-discipline.
