Learning Support Assistant - Liverpool

Are you a compassionate and patient individual looking to make a real difference in a student's educational journey? We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our network of secondary schools across Liverpool. This is your chance to provide vital support to students and help them reach their full potential.

Overview of the Role: You'll be a key part of the classroom, working alongside teachers to support students with diverse learning needs. Your role is crucial in creating a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and can thrive. We have a variety of long-term and day-to-day roles available.

Postcodes covered: L1, L2…L40 (covers both North and South Liverpool)Pay: £150 to £220 per day, based on experience.Roles type: We offer kinds of full/ part time- long/ short term- temporary and permanent depending on your flexibility and preferences.

Duties:

* Providing in-class support by working directly with students, either one-on-one or in small groups.
* Assisting with learning materials, such as adapting worksheets or creating visual aids to meet student needs.
* Supporting student well-being by acting as a mentor, offering emotional support, and building confidence.
* Helping to manage student behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
* Communicating and reporting on student progress to teachers, the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and other staff.
* Supervising students during break times, lunch, or on school trips.
* Implementing a student's individual support plan, such as an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), to ensure they receive the specific support they need.

Skills and Qualifications:

* A passion for supporting young people.
* Previous experience in a school or care setting is desirable, but not essential.
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
* Eligibility to Work in the UK (ETW).
