Working in a small team you will ensure that manufactured products meet Food Safety & Quality standards through carrying out carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysing in cooperation with the rest of the lab team. Hours: 40.25 hours per week (8.30pm - 7.30am) Location: Felling, NE10 0JW Offer is subject to a satisfactory drugs and alcohol test Duties & Main Responsibilities Collect and prepare samples when required (for internal and external testing in order to meet customer needs) Preparation and testing of analytical samples including basic wet chemistry techniques in accordance with laboratory test procedures Calculation of laboratory test results Ensure all results are recorded in the ERP system and on controlled documentation Provide effective clearance of the laboratory testing results to agreed lead-times Ensure that weekly and monthly laboratory calibrations are carried out to specified standards. Conduct periodic audits as and when requested Ensure food safety is maintained at all times Supports a food safety excellence culture Candidate requirements 5 GCSEs including English, Maths and Science Good numeracy and literacy; able to write clearly and accurately A good eye for detail, diligent in following procedures Good IT skills About Us The Dalziel group serves the meat processing and retail butchery industry from strategically located distribution sites throughout the United Kingdom.
