<div><h3>Payroll Officer</h3><p>Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will perform all duties to ensure the groups Dive Operations (DiveOps) workforce is paid in a timely and accurate manner whilst adhering to PAYE and foreign tax legislation. They will also have knowledge of auto enrolment, statutory reporting and policy/procedural control, providing support to payroll teams based around the UK and abroad.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>End‑to‑end administration of the DiveOps payroll, collating, calculating and entering data either manually or by file upload.</li><li>Guiding the supporting Payroll Officer with tax tracking for the internationally mobile population on the DiveOps payroll.</li><li>Receive and review payroll records from varying sources (including Onboard Tracker) ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations within the appropriate jurisdiction.</li><li>Adhere to legislative and company timescales for the submission of payroll data to all relevant stakeholders, mindful of overseas time differences and national holidays.</li><li>Handle a variety of payroll transactions for new employees (both foreign and UK nationals), retirements, terminations, changes to salaries, benefits, taxes, salary sacrifices, deductions, accruals etc.</li><li>Support the Payroll Manager with foreign tax calculations where necessary.</li><li>Maintain and monitor integrity of data in systems and from sources that are integrated or interfaced with the payrolling process.</li><li>Liaise directly with the Offshore Energy division to adapt to changes in payroll legislation and processing methods.</li><li>Support the Offshore payroll team to answer queries, providing in‑depth responses where required.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues worldwide to receive and provide all information enabling the global mobilisation of employees.</li><li>Reconciling payroll control accounts and cost recharges.</li><li>Perform other relevant administrative duties required for local and offshore payroll and finance teams.</li><li>Support the Payroll Manager in completion of their duties when absent and as an escalation point.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Two years or more of full‑time payroll preparation and processing experience, or an equivalent combination.</li><li>At least one year working with large, complex international payrolls.</li><li>Ideally holding or working toward a payroll qualification (CIPP, vocational certificate).</li><li>Exposure to overseas tax tracking and hypo‑tax calculations preferable.</li><li>Competent in managing large volumes of data with efficiency.</li><li>Proven ability to manipulate and import data, proficient in working with foreign currency and converting as required.</li><li>Experience with reconciling control accounts.</li><li>Skill in Microsoft Office applications, software packages and ability to import, interrogate and organise data.</li><li>Strong ability to create effective working relationships with employees and other departments both domestic and overseas.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills, confident working directly with management teams.</li><li>Ability to work autonomously during periods of high workload.</li><li>Excellent time‑management and deadline skills, with ability to adapt and prioritise when deadlines shift.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>A dynamic international team with impact opportunities.</li><li>Competitive salary and industry leading benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a generous pension package, optional flexible benefits such as private health care and additional holiday days.</li><li>Free parking and beverages.</li><li>Conveniently located office with a supportive team.</li><li>Career development via Boskalis Academy training.</li><li>Hybrid work up to 2 days a week.</li></ul><h3>Team & Location</h3><p>You will work as a Payroll Officer in the Fareham payroll team based at Westminster House, Fareham, Hampshire, UK, with up to 2 days per week of hybrid working.</p></div>
