Refrigeration Engineer/ SupervisorWe are seeking a proactive and experienced Refrigeration Engineer/Supervisor to lead a team of technicians, engineers (skilled and semi-skilled), apprentices, and trainees. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient maintenance, servicing, installation, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.The position is hybrid in nature, alternating weekly between office-based planning and coordination duties, and on-site supervision. While in the field, youll act as the lead engineer, offering hands-on support and technical leadership.
In the office, your focus will shift to managing workflow, supporting the team, and ensuring service and project delivery meet high standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support a team of service engineers and technicians.Perform and oversee the maintenance, servicing, repair, and commissioning of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.Provide accurate labour estimates and prepare service quotations for clients.Allocate labour and resources effectively for service, maintenance, installation, and repair tasks.Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure optimal use of human and material resources.Deliver technical and logistical support to the engineering team.Monitor work in progress, ensuring timely and quality job completion.Uphold and enforce company health and safety policies, recommending improvements where necessary.Maintain service standards in line with company quality protocols.Carry out additional related duties as required.Ideal Candidate ProfileExcellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.Experience & QualificationsMinimum of five years experience in a Service Engineer/Technician role.Significant hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical elements of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.Whats on offer:Salary: £45K £50K (with realistic take-home of £75K£80K including OT)Guaranteed 8-hour day + 2 hours paid travelCompany van (with personal use), laptop & phoneContinuous training including ammonia, PLCs, and more!25 days holiday + bank holidaysPrivate healthcareSalary sacrifice pensionCareer development from a company known for promoting from withinIf you're an experienced Refrigeration Supervisor looking to transition into a role that offers greater autonomy, the potential to move off the tools in the future, and the chance to grow within a motivational, team-oriented culture we want to hear from you.Apply now and take the next step in your career!TPBN1_UKTJ
