Temporary Sous Chef - Bedford
Pay: £15 ph - £22ph
Location : Bedford
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Head Chefs in delivering high-quality food service across diverse venues (restaurants, hotels, events, corporate kitchens, etc.)
* Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
* Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene
* Adapt quickly to different kitchen setups, menus, and team structures
* Support with inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation
* Uphold food safety and health regulations at all times
* Step into leadership roles when required, especially during busy periods or staff shortages
Travel & Flexibility
* Willingness to travel to various client sites, sometimes at short notice
* Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to work in both short-term and longer-term placements
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
* Culinary qualification or equivalent experience
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport (preferred)
* Up-to-date food hygiene and safety certifications
