This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join Dunnock View, a 42-bed service providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders. You will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, while also providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
As an Occupational Therapist at Dunnock View, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, and stakeholders, as well as providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff. You will also be involved in ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements, supporting the completion of appraisals and personal development plans, and contributing to the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways.

Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will include:
Communicating effectively with clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, service users, carers/supporters/family members, stakeholders, and agencies
Providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants
Ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements
Supporting the completion of appraisals and personal development plans with junior staff
Developing and implementing policies, protocols, and care pathways
To be a Successful Occupational Therapist, you will need:
An Occupational Therapy qualification
Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with adults with complex needs
Experience applying occupational frameworks and approaches
Effective clinical reasoning skills
Knowledge of assessment and treatment models
Understanding of working with vulnerable individuals
