Job Overview
A superb opportunity for an experienced member of staff to join a well‑established and supportive department while gaining experience within a Middle Leadership role. The successful candidate will teach and lead Design & Technology, inspiring and motivating students and developing outstanding subject knowledge under an excellent Director of Creativity, Arts and Industries.
Responsibilities
* Teach and lead the Design & Technology curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
* Deliver high‑quality lessons, using a fully resourced department curriculum.
* Inspire, motivate and support students to achieve their potential.
* Work within the department and with the Director of Creativity, Arts and Industries to develop and review curriculum and assessment.
* Participate in the Middle Leader training programme and bespoke coaching opportunities.
* Contribute to weekly meetings focused on teaching and learning, and support the development of teaching practice within the Academy.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong classroom practitioner with excellent subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
* Experience teaching at KS3 and/or KS4, and ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners.
* Commitment to inspiring and motivating students.
* Capacity for leadership and willingness to develop in a Middle Leadership role.
