Situated in the Yorkshire countryside on the edge of a historic village, Hooton Pagnell Hall is a magnificent Grade II* country house set within five acres of idyllic gardens.
Located within easy reach of Doncaster, Sheffield, York and Leeds, the Hall is renowned for its elegant interiors, beautiful Tithe Barn, and charming stately setting. Alongside our stunning event spaces, we offer nine luxury en-suite bedrooms located between the West Wing and the 14th-century Main Hall.

The Role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Wedding & Events Assistant to support the running of weddings and events at Hooton Pagnell Hall.
This is a casual, primarily weekend-based role, ideal for someone interested in hospitality or events who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of special occasions.
As this is a casual position, hours will vary depending on wedding and event bookings.
You will assist the team with a variety of tasks, from welcoming guests to ensuring events run smoothly on the day.

Typical Working Pattern
This is seasonal casual work running from mid-May through to the end of October, depending on our wedding bookings.
Typical shifts may include:
* Saturdays: Supporting the team with the running of weddings and events
* Sundays: Assisting with breakfast service and preparing the venue for the next event
Shifts will be primarily weekends, with occasional weekday hours when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting the Wedding & Events Team with event preparation and set-up
* Welcoming couples, guests and suppliers to the venue
* Supporting the smooth running of weddings and events
* Assisting with breakfast service for overnight guests, including serving and clearing tables
* Liaising with external suppliers where required
* Helping with pre- and post-event tasks such as setting up and clearing down
* Maintaining high standards of hospitality and service
* Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed during events

Previous experience in hospitality or events is helpful but not essential.
Shortlisting & Interviews
After the closing date (Monday 20th April), shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview, scheduled from 6th – 8th May. We aim to complete interviews promptly so the successful candidate can begin on 22nd May 2026. Some flexibility may be given for applicants serving notice periods with their current employers.
