Advanced Materials R&D Specialist (m/f/d)

They seek an advanced materials specialist to join their international R&D team.
This role is ideal for those interested in sustainable material innovation, biodegradable plastics, and polyester-based materials. It offers a three-year initial contract, starting late 2025, with flexible remote work options and optional on-site engagement in China. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead research in sustainable and biodegradable materials, focusing on alternatives to polymers like PBAT.
* Evaluate new materials for sustainability and market potential.
* Advance research in polyester polymerization, optical films, and innovative PU resins.
* Develop strategies for integrating sustainable materials into production.
* Collaborate with academic and industry partners to enhance knowledge.
* Contribute to internal knowledge sharing on sustainable materials.
Required Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Environmental/Chemical/Process Engineering or related fields.
* At least 3 years post-doctoral experience in advanced materials R&D.
* Expertise in material sciences with a focus on sustainability.
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques is a plus.
* Familiarity with sustainability assessments and eco-friendly innovations.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
