Mechanical Assembly Manager – Mallusk, Co Antrim
Alternative Heat Ltd is hiring a Mechanical Assembly Manager for its assembly facility located in Mallusk.
Role Overview
Lead the assembly team in a dynamic production environment. Manage and develop the team, oversee weekly production, forecast output, monitor queries and non‑conformances, and implement operational procedures. Maintain subcontractor relationships, handle material and machine maintenance, and provide design guidance to ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Lead weekly meetings with project management teams to monitor progress and ensure project programmes are met.
* Manage assembly supervisors and coordinate with production and fabrication teams to achieve clear‑to‑build status.
* Review assembly drawings for accuracy and ensure adherence to and development of company assembly procedures.
* Maintain regular communication with line managers regarding labour, training, machinery and non‑conformances.
* Prepare weekly progress reports and manage scheduling of workloads within assembly facilities.
* Develop team skills and capacity to ensure timely project delivery in line with specifications and targets.
Qualifications
* Experience in mechanical assembly management is preferred.
* Strong leadership, planning and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to manage subcontractors, materials and machine maintenance.
* Knowledge of industry safety and quality standards.
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary: Competitive depending on experience.
* Hours: Monday‑Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Friday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
* Responsibly to: Operations Manager.
