You will be part of the European Central Finance Operations (ECFO) team which key role is to act as an intermediary between IT and the different Finance Functions. The ECFO is the Finance Continuous Improvement team in Europe and as such has a dual role in supporting the key financial systems and assisting the teams in delivering continuous improvements and gain operational efficiencies via projects. ECFO plays a key role in the modernization strategy for Finance in Europe. The team is divided in 3 pillars, Business Intelligence (BI), Intelligent Development (AI) and Run the Business (RTB) and there are currently 8 people in the team. Your role will sit within the AI pillar.
Purpose Job Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Business developer to join our European Central Finance Operations (ECFO) team at our European Head Office of TJX Europe. The Senior Business Developer for Europe role is accountable for the delivery of medium size and high complexity developments for Finance or any other Business Functions supported by ECFO.
The Senior Business Developer for Europe role involves a high level of business partnering with both business functions and IT. The Senior Business Developer will mentor other more junior developers in the community. The Senior Business Developer will also be expected to continually at what new technology should be added to his hers skillset in order to deliver solutions for the business area.
Key ResponsibilitiesTasks
* Responsible for developing and maintaining local software solutions for a specific business area.
* Responsible to ensure that associated development configuration methodologies and standards are followed.
* Responsible to undertake peer review for any developments done in their business area.
* Responsible to create and maintain the Solution Documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Responsible to executes test plan for completed user stories features of their business area
* Working within project planning constraints, responsible to communicate any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager and to provide inputs to the change control process.
* Accountable for the support of their own developments during the UAT and rollout phases.
* Responsible to works with the relevant team to resolve any issues
* Accountable to ensure that all required documentation for the Agile methodology and tools associated are up to date and at the appropriate standard.
* Comfortable working within an agile framework to ensure developments are delivered and work with PO to avoid scope creep.
* Responsible to produces the System Demo for program and value stream stakeholders in collaboration with PM/PO.
* Provide end user training, where appropriate, for solutions developed.
* Participate in team hub refinement sessions and in the IA community of practise
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Need to have the Blue Prism Foundation certificate (for AI) and any other relevant certification for other technologies (BI)
* 1-3 years in a technical role, specifically in the technical design, development and implementation or support of business systems Demonstrate clear technical ability and engineering mindset
* Must have at least 1 plus years of good experience Developing and Designing business software solutions using appropriate technologies (such as Robotic Process Automation or power platform tools)
* Hands on experience and knowledge of Blue Prism or Power Platform (external recruit)
* Requires a highly developed level of technical expertise in the systems of the business area (internal recruit)
* Able to deliver medium size and highly complex automations
* Accountable for 2 areas or domains and excellent understanding of those business area processes (internal recruit)
* Experience in the full software delivery lifecycle on business development projects including data analysis, process mapping, business requirements, solution design, functional and technical specification, coding, test plan and go-live release notes
* Thorough understanding of source code management tools and concepts
* Fully owns the development of
* Familiar with Agile and DevOps concepts and tools
* Able to collaborate within the team
* Able to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to develop relationships at all levels of the business
* Ability to influence senior management
* Developed analytical skills and problem solving skills
* Flexibility in approach and a willingness to go beyond the defined role
