Mechanical Engineer (Plant Maintenance)

Role description
A vacancy has arisen in our Plant Maintenance Department for a Time Served Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide the mechanical repair, installation, and planned maintenance of factory service equipment.
2. Identifying and repairing mechanical faults with factory services and equipment in order to maintain efficient operations.
3. Setting up and making mechanical adjustments to the factory equipment and services in order to maintain efficient operations.
4. Observing factory equipment and services to establish what planned maintenance work requires to be carried out.
5. Ability to carry out any related work, use of testing equipment, welding, burning, fabrication, and rigging.
Required skills / qualifications:
6. Must be a Time Served Mechanical Engineer, educated to HNC level.
7. Experience in providing a plant maintenance service within a continuous process production environment.
8. Experience in welding and fabrication (from a role requiring multi-disciplines preferred).
9. Excellent communication skills, personal drive, computer literate and customer focus.
10. A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.

11. Salary Minimum £32,358 - £39,886 Maximum

13. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with option for condensed hours, plus 26.5 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
