What the Job Involves As a Principal Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to the Council, specializing in safeguarding, major works, regeneration planning law, or corporate legal matters. The role involves line management of staff, budgetary control, and relationship management with clients and external bodies. You will ensure consistent, efficient, and effective legal advice and assistance while deputizing for the Head of Legal Services as required. Additionally, you will directly manage relationships with clients, oversee legal service delivery, and manage outsourced legal work.
