The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide tailored support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within lessons and around the school
* Working 1:1 with students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Delivering small group interventions and targeted learning support
* Assisting students in accessing the curriculum across a range of subjects
* Encouraging student engagement, confidence, and independence
* Supporting literacy, numeracy, and emotional wellbeing
* Helping to manage behaviour positively and consistently
* Building strong and trusting relationships with students and staff
* Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

* Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player
* Confident supporting students with a range of additional needs
* Experienced working with young people in schools, care, coaching, youth work, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
