Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights. In this vital role, you will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Duties

* Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.
* Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
* Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels.
* Support menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary considerations.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
* Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
* Oversee shift management duties, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and maintaining smooth workflow during busy periods.

Experience

* Proven experience in food production within a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams or culinary staff.
* Extensive background in banquet service, catering, and large-scale food events.
* Strong knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food handling procedures.
* Familiarity with dietary department protocols and special dietary accommodations.
* Hands-on experience with food safety standards and certifications relevant to the hospitality industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
