A Service Support Engineer role, providing operational support for security and monitoring systems across Heathrow Airport. The role supports critical infrastructure as part of long-term service and upgrade contracts (including a 5‑year Genetec support agreement).

Hours: 37.5 per week - days & nights
Pay Rate: £36-£39 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line and on‑site/remote support for CCTV, ANPR, radar, body‑worn cameras, sensors, intercoms, and related systems
* Perform preventative, planned, and corrective maintenance on hardware and software
* Install CCTV and ANPR equipment (day and night shifts)
* Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota to meet SLAs
* Produce reports, RAMS, permits, and support documentation
* Coordinate service and project activities with internal teams and Heathrow stakeholders
* Attend progress meetings and hand over documentation after installations
Required Experience & Skills
* Strong experience with CCTV VMS systems
* Hands‑on experience with CCTV, ANPR, radar systems, and field installations
* IT security systems and networking knowledge
* Experience in live/operational environments
* Good problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills
* Familiarity with LAN, wireless, fibre/cabling, and enterprise telecoms advantageous
* Competent with MS Word and Excel
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' experience in IT, networking, or engineering
* Educated to C&G, HNC, or A‑level standard
* Formal training in project management, networking, or IT systems desirable but not essential
