Shift Pattern: Monday- Thursday 08:00- 12:30 We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team in Abernethy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring there is sufficient stock of raw material within our Fresh potato factory, whilst maintaining good working relationships with our growers. We are currently at an exciting & innovative time within the business, with new automation installed & plans to expand our product range and customer base. Examples of day to day duties will include; * Control purchase prices of raw material to meet budget, ensuring the factory has sufficient stock & customer orders can be met. * Develop and maintain regular contact with Branston grower group members to manage contract usage to budget plan and promote the key values and expectations of the business. * Ensure weekly payments are accurate and completed within agreed timescales. * Work closely with site quality, production and planning teams to ensure customer quality specification is maintained following procurement process and standards. * Trading of surplus crop or secondary grade material * Deputise for the Procurement manager as and when required. Do you offer? * Previous experience within a procurement/ agronomy role * Excellent communication and numeracy skills * Full valid UK driving license * The ability to work on own initiative and make effective decisions * Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience within fresh produce or agricultural industry would be advantageous but not essential.
