Location Overview:

Role Description:
Credit Review provides an independent assessment of credit decisions and processes across the bank’s credit platform, identifies risks, and reports findings to stakeholders including executive management, the Board, auditors, and regulators.
The Portfolio Specialist works with the Credit Review Portfolio Manager to establish and execute a risk-based coverage plan for specific portfolios. Responsibilities include conducting transaction reviews, leading examinations as an Examiner-in-Charge (EIC) or Assistant Examiner-in-Charge (AEIC), reviewing transaction testing by other examiners, and managing issues.
Responsibilities:
* Establish and execute a risk-based coverage plan for specific portfolios, including examinations, transaction reviews, risk assessments, and issue management.
* Lead risk-based and regulatory examinations, perform transactional testing, and provide feedback.
* Identify emerging risks from various sources.
* Contribute to staffing and resource planning.
* Develop onboarding plans for new examiners.
* Communicate examination results and emerging risks to business leaders and management.
* Manage issues, including severity ratings, action plans, and validation.
Requirements:
* Extensive commercial credit experience, especially with large or complex portfolios. Capital Markets experience and knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk are preferred.
* Experience in risk management, lending, or regulatory agencies.
* Strong credit analysis, project management, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Data analysis skills and process assessment ability.
* Ability to support conclusions with fact-based analysis and influence senior leaders.
* Capability to handle multiple complex tasks with high-quality results.
* Experience in a matrix organization, independence, initiative, resourcefulness, and coaching skills.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience applicable to Credit Review responsibilities.
* Strong Counterparty Credit Risk background or Global Markets experience.
