Job Overview
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) is looking for a Graphic Designer to join its communications team. The role involves advising on, designing, and delivering bilingual content and documents across the organisation to the highest standard.
Successful candidates will hold a NVQ Level 4 in graphic design or an equivalent qualification, and will be proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office and emerging design platforms.
From 1st April 2026 the salary will be as per the 2026/27 Agenda for Change Pay Award. Further details are available in the pay circular.
Main Duties
* Work with colleagues across NWSSP to create high‑quality designs and content that support organisational objectives.
* Deliver high‑quality bilingual designs that meet NWSSP branding guidelines, Welsh Language Standards and accessibility requirements.
* Manage and interpret design briefs, provide advice, guidance, and design solutions to colleagues.
* Support the communications team in managing physical resources such as printed materials and filming equipment.
* Interpret complex data and content and transfer it to visual design, managing competing priorities.
* Develop branded assets and templates to support colleagues in creating resources within brand guidelines.
* Liaise with teams and external printers and suppliers and ensure all bilingual content meets industry print requirements.
* Advise staff on effective methods of design, production and finishing of graphic design work.

Experience
* Experience in design for print.
* Understanding of accessibility needs.
Desirable Experience
* Welsh Language Skills levels 1–5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 4 in graphic design or related subject or equivalent.
* Understanding of animation and latest technological advances.
* Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for proofing and print.
Desirable Qualifications
* Degree in graphic design.
