Nigel Wright Group are delighted to be representing a high growth retail business based in Merseyside looking for an interim Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant. The opportunity is for an initial 12 month term and has the potential to extend. The successful candidate will get an instantly recognisable brand on their CV and a superb line manager which will assist across all elements of this role
Specific duties include:
* Overseeing and mentoring a team of 5 accountants
* Responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
* Analyse and interpret financial data to provide clear insights and support decision-making
* Analysis and investigation of variances including monitoring finance performance against actuals
* Ensure financial data is structured and aligned correctly across the wider group
* Partner with non-finance stakeholders across operations, commercial, and senior leadership teams
* Provide meaningful commentary on performance, trends, and variances
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of reporting processes
* Hybrid working model offering flexibility alongside a collaborative office environment (3 days in the office)
About You:
* Proven managerial / supervisory experience
* ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified or QBE
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
* Confident working with large datasets and improving data structure/reporting
* Strong technically and comfortable around all elements of monthly financial reporting
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
* Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business Hybrid working model offering flexibility alongside a collaborative office environment
