Yard Operative - Temp to Perm We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our team on a Temp to Perm basis. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone with a strong work ethic who isn't afraid of heavy manual labor. The position involves working with timber and building materials, assisting customers, and keeping the yard organized. Key Details: Working Hours: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (1 Saturday a month after 12 weeks) Duties: Picking orders, loading/unloading vans/wagons, helping customers, and lots of heavy lifting (big lumps of wood, sheets, etc.) Physical Demands: 85% of the role is manual labor—this is not a desk job! You'll be lifting, moving, and organizing materials around the yard. Forklift: Ability to drive a forklift is required. Previous Experience: A background in timber or builders' merchants would be ideal but not essential Overtime: available after 45 hours What we're looking for: A reliable, hardworking individual who can handle physical tasks without complaining.
