Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the culinary staff. Vacancies Available:
* 2 x 20-hour contracts (Sunday–Wednesday)
* 1 x 16-hour contract (Thursday–Saturday)
Weekend availability is essential.
Duties
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
* Support chefs and kitchen staff during service by providing assistance as needed.
* Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as necessary.
* Participate in regular cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
* A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service.
* Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
