We’re currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and specialist primary SEN school in the Tanworth area. This is a full-time role, ideal for individuals with experience or a genuine interest in working with children who have a range of complex needs. The Role: You’ll be working closely with experienced teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils develop key life skills. The school caters for primary-aged children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, and moderate to complex learning needs. ✅ We’re Looking For: * Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or similar) – preferred but not essential * Experience working in an SEN or care-based setting * A calm, patient, and consistent approach * A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND * Strong communication and teamworking skills * Ability to support personal care needs if required What You'll Be Doing: * Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis * Assisting with the delivery of EHCP targets and tailored learning plans * Using a range of communication strategies (e.g. visual timetables, PECS, Makaton – training can be provided) * Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured environment * Supporting behaviour strategies and promoting emotional regulation The School Offers: * A welcoming and experienced SEN team * Strong leadership and staff development support * A well-resourced and specialist learning environment * Ongoing training opportunities in SEN strategies and interventions
