The Role
Based at our Headington Campus (Hybrid), you will report to the Access Projects Manager/Senior Schools & Colleges Liaison Manager within the UK Recruitment and Admissions Department. This full-time, permanent role involves extensive regional travel.
About the Team
The Access & Outreach Team is part of the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment, and Engagement. Our goal is to enhance the University's profile by delivering targeted outreach programmes to inform and attract a diverse range of potential students. We focus on collaborative work with schools, colleges and communities to facilitate progression into higher education.
What Will I Be Doing?
* Develop and deliver information, advice and guidance talks/workshops in schools and colleges,
* Represent the univeristy at Careers and HE fairs.
* Support the delivery of sustained, intensive access programmes.
* Support the logistical organisation of large-scale events (eg booking venues, catering and student ambassadors).
* Maintain accurate databases and records (including in HEAT) for participants, attendance and school contacts.
* Contribute to major University recruitment activities like Open Days and Clearing.
What Skills Do I Need?
* Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience of working in education, preferably in recruitment or admissions.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills for events and record-keeping.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents and partners.
* Ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations to young people.
* Willingness to undertake extensive regional travel and occasional evening/weekend work.
About the Location
This is a hybrid role split between the Headington Campus and working from home, requiring extensive regional travel. A DBS background check will be required.
