Manager, Corporate Tax, All EY Office Locations
Join EY as a Manager in Corporate Tax and work with a wide range of businesses, from start‑ups through to established multinational corporations. You’ll provide tax advisory and compliance services, including M&A structuring, exit planning, group re‑organisations and expansion into overseas territories.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with clients.
* Proactive business development to add value to existing clients and identify opportunities for new clients.
* Manage the successful delivery of technically complex tax compliance and reporting engagements and related advisory projects.
* Involve in tax audit engagements.
* Provide exceptional client service.
* Collaborate with other tax specialist teams.
* Provide development support to junior team members through supervision, coaching and mentoring.
* Contribute to people initiatives.
Skills And Attributes For Success
* Client driven and strategically and commercially aware.
* Strong corporate tax technical skills.
* Strong client relationship management skills, ability to produce quality outputs.
* Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and handle challenges.
* Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
* Effective time management, ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral.
To qualify for the role you must have
* ACA / CA / CTA / Tax Inspector with full Technical Training course / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification or equivalent knowledge.
* Strong tax technical skills.
* Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to generate new work.
* Experience of coaching and developing more junior staff.
Ideally you’ll also have
* Project management skills to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, and monitor own budgets.
* Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically, recognising both the tax technical and commercial implications of advice given.
