The University of Worcester, Law School is seeking to recruit Associate Lecturers to teach on the BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Policing and other linked undergraduate programmes. The programme is currently in its fourth year of delivery and has expanded in number to the extent we are now recruiting sessional lecturers, known as Associate Lecturers – paid per hour.
We aim to ensure that our policing students are offered an outstanding student experience, and the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they are able to contribute to this aspiration in a very practical, flexible, and energetic way. We are especially interested to hear from applicants with practical relevant experience in all or either community policing, problem-solving and intelligence work.
The successful applicants will form part of a highly enthusiastic and motivated team delivering policing modules at Worcester.
Salary Range:
1. £50.25 p/hr – for teaching and marking
2. £24.52 p/hr – moderation or meetings

Selection Methods:
Short-listed candidates will be invited to a panel interview. They will also be asked to deliver a 15-minute interactive teaching session on area of policing. Further details will be provided to shortlisted candidates.

NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week. Please note that this does not meet the minimum salary requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post who will require sponsorship to work in the UK.
Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
