SEN Teaching Assistant – Ipswich – Start Date ASAP
Prospero Teaching are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Ipswich, starting ASAP. This full‑time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs and helping them access learning in a safe, structured environment.
The school is looking for a calm, proactive practitioner with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs.
📌 CONTRACT DETAILS
1. Location – Ipswich
2. Position – SEN Teaching Assistant
3. Type of work – Supporting pupils within an SEN school
4. Start date – ASAP
5. Duration – Ongoing / Long‑term
6. Full time/part‑time – Full time
7. Minimum rate of pay – £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)
📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
8. Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school‑based or transferable)
9. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
10. Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training (desirable)
✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
11. Hold Right to Work in the UK
12. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
13. Provide two professional child‑related references
